Cartoon characters, So, what do you think about when you meditate?

I am Arthur D. Saftlas, also known as Nirvan, a name given to me by my teacher Osho. I am a non-traditional therapist, more Zen master than psychotherapist.

I am a Holistic Transpersonal Counselor and a Meditation Teacher. Holistic, because you are a being—you are one, undivided, inseparable by mind, body, or spirit. Transpersonal, because I teach esoteric lessons and meditations which are beyond ego and personality. Counseling, because I provide professional guidance in resolving personal conflicts and emotional problems.

My gift is that I can intuitively see the lessons you could integrate next, which would radically change your life— if you were open. My skill is presenting these insights in a way that is appropriate, compassionate, and clearly understandable to you.

I work in person in Marin County, the San Francisco Area, and by email, Skype, and phone. I am open to you and also to answering your questions, so please feel free to contact me.

One way I help you.

I assist you in becoming aware of a distinction between you and your mind. You have a mind and though it is normal to identify with your mind and its' thoughts, the truth is you are more than your mind.

When we are unsuccessfully trying to fall sleep, we see it is our mind that is keeping us awake, re-minding us of all sorts of things. Yet, this difference between you as observer and your thinking is rarely observed insightfully. I help you gain deep insight into this distinction—to realize your power of awareness to make real changes. I help you put your mind in its' right place as your servant, not your master.
